We are seeking qualified Senior Associates to join the Analytic & Forensic Technology - Computer Forensics practice:

 

Commercial investigations and litigations increasingly rely on collecting, preserving and analyzing vast amounts of data to help tell the whole story. The key to managing such huge volumes is turning the array of data into meaningful information. To this end, our Analytic and Forensic Technology (AFT) professionals combine forensic accounting and investigative skills with advanced technology to assist clients and their legal counsel.

 

With the ever increasing demands being put upon corporate law departments finding ways to maintain legal and regulatory compliance and to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their operations is critical to their success. Our Legal Business Consulting professionals understand the unique challenges corporate law departments face and can assist them in the following areas: litigation readiness, records management consulting, strategic and technology planning, performance management, organizational design, matter and content management, legacy data remediation analysis, and legal process outsourcing evaluation.

 

Analytic & Forensic Technology services include:

Claims administration

Computer forensics

Data analytics

Electronic discovery

Legal business consulting

 

Qualified Senior Associates will have experience with the following:

  • 3 -5 years of computer forensics experience
  • Strong technical experience in troubleshooting personal computers and servers
  • An understanding of file system types and hard disk drive structures
  • A strong understanding of Windows based systems including installing, troubleshooting, and networking. Linux and UNIX experience is a plus
  • Proficient in the use of EnCase or Forensic Toolkit or SMART or open source (Linux) forensic tools
  • An understanding of data collection & preservation principles
  • An understanding of networking concepts and experience in working with networked systems
  • Strong networking and TCP/IP skills are a plus
  • EnCE certification or eligibility to sit for and pass the exam within 6 months from the date of hire
  • CFCE certification a plus
  • Balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively to all levels of engagement management

Additional Experience/Qualifications:

  • The ability to describe complex technical concepts and ideas to in non-technical terms
  • Law enforcement or investigative experience is a plus
  • Some business development or marketing skills or experience desired
  • A strong finance, accounting or economics background is not required, but it is very helpful
  • COMP TIA A+ Certification (certification required within 1 year from date of hire)
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Forensics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with an IT emphasis preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 
  • Must be flexible with schedule and travel requirements of client service projects Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral

Experience in a professional services firm preferred
