Applications Engineering Supervisor

PURPOSE:

Work with the applications engineering manager to assist in leading the two cabinet applications engineering departments in the Econolite Group (Econolite Control Products and Safetran Traffic Systems) .Must be able to effectively translate specifications defined by the customer into engineering documentation, processing instructions, and equipment being delivered to the customer; while assuring that designs conform to all customer and industry criteria and match the capability of the company.

DUTIES:

• Oversee the design of traffic cabinets, sheet metal enclosures and electronic assemblies
• Provide support to manufacturing and sales department for technical requirements
• Support manager in department to assure that all designs are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time
• Participate in training sessions, seminars, and continuing education to stay abreast of new technical developments
• Fills in duties for Applications Engineering Manager, when Manager is not present
• Assists cabinet project engineer with new designs and innovations
• Serve as a proactive customer service & quality ambassador of The Econolite Group, Inc. by representing the organization in a positive, professional manner to support The Brand Promise
