Job details:

Reporting to the Director of Support Services, the Computer Lab Coordinator has primary responsibility for the operation of public and classroom computing. Responsibilities include deployment of computers, imaging, troubleshooting, and planning maintenance schedules and refresh cycles. Works with colleagues in Technology Support and Research and Instruction to purchase, renew, and deploy academic software. On a daily basis provides direct support for user problems that arise due to hardware, software, or user skill/knowledge.

This position collaborates with Research & Instruction Liaisons to further the mission and priorities of the college. This position directly contributes to the support of teaching, learning, and research, particularly as they are enhanced by technology.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or technical degree preferred.
- Minimum two years experience providing direct support to technology users.
- Knowledge of and experience with Ethernet and TCP/IP network protocol
- Strong knowledge of and experience with Unix, Macintosh and Intel based machines (hardware and OS)
- Strong knowledge of and experience with a variety of academic and specialized software (EX: Matlab, Minitab, Maple, Origin Lab, ChemDraw, ArcGIS)
- Experience with Assistive Technology Applications
- Experience with standard productivity software (Microsoft Office)
