Job details:

We're looking for a Computer Technicain with a background in hardware support and asset management. This is not an entry level opportunity.

Primary responsibilities will be in providing shipping and receiving support of hardware and to facilitate e-waste disposal. May also provide needed hardware and components for the installation, implementation, and upgrades of internal systems. May maintain a tracking system for usage evaluation. Maintains an inventory of all equipment, hardware, software and supplies. Documents issues with failing hardware and coordinates repairs or retirement. Issues required hardware and components including hard drives and RAM. Provides hard drives, hardware consumables and components according to company policy and guidelines, ensuring proper approvals are received. Completes most tasks independently but may seek the assistance of upper level staff. May suggest process improvements and assist with implementation based on upper staff level guidance. Works on projects as assigned by Management.

Responsibilities:
Hardware/consumable receiving
Asset Tracking
Staging hardware and consumables
Assessing what hardware, consumables and parts are needed to fulfill requests for both computers and phones (wireless and desktop)
Assessing which hardware needs to be recycled/retired
Installation and removal of computer components such as hard drives and RAM
Cleaning and refurbishing of computers
Research hardware location via SMS
Hardware recycling with our e-waste providers
Software to hardware association

Professional communications with customers
Excellent teamwork skills
Attention to detail
Ability to interpret policy and enforce with customers and partner teams
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work load depending on ever-changing requirements and volumes
Knowledge of what components work in each model of computer
Knowledge of what modules go with each component
Education : High School Diploma required; AS in Computer Science or professional computer engineering certificate a plus. Minimum 3-5 years experience in with computer repair or asset tracking experience required.
