DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING, CUSTOM EXTRUSION

Summary:  We are working with one of the premier polymer products companies in the United States to find a Director of Engineering with strong polymer formulation and extrusion processing knowledge.  This company is committed to product development as the key to their success and you will be directing the activities of a solid group of engineering professionals in this arena.  You will manage professionals in the design, development, improvement and enhancement of products, materials, and associated tooling.

Responsibilities for the Director of Engineering

• The Director of Engineering is a key player of the executive management team, and as such, will be responsible for product development, enhancement, and associated budgets. 
• The Director of Engineering will be a hands-on manager of all product technology related areas, including Materials, Engineering and Tooling. 
• The Director of Engineering is responsible for improvements in products and processes, including improvement of physical properties, improvement of product life, reduction of customer concerns or product failures, improved throughput via technological or material improvements and so forth.
