for Dir of Global Logistics to join the dynamic leadership team.
Primary Objectives:
- Develop and execute the most efficient Global Logistics Network for the Aircraft Group. This includes inbound materials and outbound customer shipments as well as inter-site transfers
- Efficiently manage Freight, Customs, and Duty expenditures for the Aircraft Group.
- Effectively manage import and export compliance with respective regulatory agencies worldwide.
- Develop the Global Logistics Strategy and implement optimum logistic network that minimizes material handling and freight cost across Business Sectors in the Aircraft Group while providing desired level of service.
- Establish and manage Forward Stocking Locations (FSL) and utilize 3rd Party Logistics Providers where advantageous and integrate with the Company Systems.
- Be responsible for management of carrier base and 3rd Party Logistics provider's service, cost, management reviews, and rate negotiations.
- Manage Material flow inbound and outbound for all Aircraft Group sites as well as the material flow among the 7+ Aircraft Group locations.
- Responsible for efficient and effective transport of capital equipment as needed.
- Ensure Import and Export regulatory compliance with respective agencies world wide.
- Establish annual Freight, Customs, and Duty budget and ensure it is met. Establish direct customer shipments for products not produced at a design center.
- Sourcing locations and customers are located in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
- Be willing to travel up to 25%
