SUMMARY: The individual in this position will be responsible for providing expert logistical solutions for International POGA Distributors. The position will specialize in the facilitation of small package logistics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide insight and hands on involvement to ensure the distribution network is operating efficiently.
Achieve transport goals without compromising compliance issues, adversely impacting freight rates or driving up Arctic Cat overhead.
Take responsibility for ensuring that tracking information is up to date, accurate and complete from all forwarders and brokers handling Arctic Cat shipments.
Take ownership/responsibility for expediting all shipments regardless of the forwarder, carrier, vendor or customs broker utilized for shipment.
Field all calls and communications from Arctic Cat staff, vendors, and service providers, regarding shipping questions, problems, requirements and changes.
Provide a comprehensive international freight rate data base for auditing purposes. This database will contain all tariffs and rates as quoted by the Arctic Cat service provider. This will include import rate and export rates.
Audit and benchmark all import and export freight rates and service parameters to ensure Arctic Cat is receiving the benefit of the market freight rates and service requirements in a team environment.
Coordinate transload ,and transhipment requirements.
Responsible for development of foreign to foreign and inter country distribution and consolidation.
10. Make recommendations for new methods of moving the product in bound and out bound (including but not limited to an increased usage of drop shipping from suppliers to distributors) that will allow us to meet our fill rate goals, freight cost reductions goals and support the 20%+ growth of the International PG&A business going forward.
11. Work directly with the Order Fulfillment Coordinator- POGA to ensure timely and accurate logistical issues are resolved for the customer.
