Job Description:
This position is contingent and awaiting government client approval.This is an ACAT 1D program currently producing, fielding, upgrading, and sustaining life-saving vehicles for Warfighters and is recognized as the highest priority Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition program, with exceptionally high Congressional, DoD, and joint Service interest which requires motivated, competent and agile individuals to respond to a myriad of urgent and priority requests for information and action. The candidate will lead a team providing multi-disciplinary support to a large government system acquisition program management office and will serve as a senior advisor to government personnel. Duties will include planning, executing and controlling engineering efforts for the MRAP Family of Vehicles, serving as the principle quality control lead for engineering, working with senior government personnel on a regular basis, and frequently being called on to provide briefings and lead large meetings. Other responsibilities include: engineering quality management, to include monitoring and responding to customer feedback; development of procedures for system engineering and management and quality control; planning for and monitoring major system engineering deliverables; developing and managing a budget; developing appropriate metrics for tracking and communicating performance on engineering tasks to the customer; assist in efforts such as engineering analyses and trade studies; development of requirements and specifications, evaluation of engineering documentation; conducting technical reviews; and other tasks related to system engineering. Candidate may participate in business development and proposal preparation activities, to include identifying and responding to new business opportunities. Candidate will also perform Team Lead functions such as: planning and procuring necessary staffing; investigation and resolution of management problems; conduct mentoring, coaching and appraisals of assigned staff; and reviewing and approving timecards.
