The Mobile Practice leader is responsible for managing a practice of approximately 45 technical professionals, including architects, IT Specialists and Consultants specializing in various areas of mobile, wireless and emerging technology solutions. This is a technology focused cross sector role and requires strong sales, people management and technical skills. It will be essential that the individual have a deep understanding of the fast paced and changing mobile environment, technologies that are in use, and methods and tools employed to deliver solutions. This role includes driving sales and successful delivery of mobile solutions, working in collaboration with other AIS practice areas such as IBM Interactive and Smarter Commerce, and the GBS Industry Partner and Associate Partner community. It also includes development of ISV and technology partnerships and growing such partnerships so as to result in additional business. The Practice leader is a second line manager and requires excellent people management skills to maintain the morale and vitality of the practice. Other skills include developing / managing client relationships and leading initial consulting offerings such as business value assessments and discovery workshops with regard to mobile, wireless and emerging technologies. A background in technical consulting, technology implementation and application development is required. This position requires strong executive level selling skills and the ability to negotiate and close business.

Required


* Bachelor's Degree


* At least 3 years experience in an IBM people management role, managing at least 15 employees.


* At least 3 years experience in developing solutions and proposals in the mobile technology space and selling to executive level clients.


* At least 3 years experience in selling and delivering mobile technology solutions.


* Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)


* English: Fluent
