Berkeley Transportation Systems, Inc. (BTS), a subsidiary of Iteris, Inc; is a worldwide leader in Intelligent Transportation Systems. We are software engineers solving problems in the transportation industry. We provide solutions to the transportation industry through a number of different software solutions. Our flagship product is a transportation data warehouse that fuses multiple types of data (fixed detectors, incidents, tag vehicles, arterial signals, etc) in order enhance the understanding of the transportation system. We use a variety of visualization techniques to manage the massive about of data involved. Our systems are used by state DOTs, city and regional agencies and toll authorities around the world for a number of purposes.

We're seeking a motivated, analytical Senior Software Manager to help us build a team and expand the company. Initially this position would include a combination of management and coding (php, perl, databases).

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

1. BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
2. At least 10 years experience in software industry.
3. 3-5 years experience managing other developers, both junior and senior with deployed software products in the marketplace and in implementing features in PHP and Perl.
4. At least 10 years experience in the Unix/Linux development and deployment environment.

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

1. Expert understanding of web coding.
2. Familiarity with a majority of the following: Linux, Perl, Oracle, PHP, Flash, Javascript, Cloud computing (EC2).
